Colin Cahill is Dr. Deming’s great-grandson. Colin joined The Deming Institute as an intern in 2019, while working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Intelligence Analysis at James Madison University, where he is also minoring in economics. At the Institute, Colin aims to apply his marketing and analytical skills to support the impending launch of Deming Online.
A graduate of the Blue Ridge School, Colin interned for a summer in its administrative offices, assisting with outreach and marketing to both alumni and prospective students. He has also worked as an intern at AFLAC insurance, where he focused on market research. Most recently, he successfully completed a 3-month Officer Candidate course with the US Marine Corps, where he served as 2nd squad leader.
Colin is an avid mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast. At James Madison, Colin is active in the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the Military and Operational Intelligence Association (MOIA), Cycling Club, and Semper Fi Society.
Colin has a great interest in better understanding systems thinking to enable the more efficient and effective running of an organization in the 21st Century. He is also fascinated by the implementation of the Deming Philosophy across multiple industries, as well as Deming's Philosophy pertaining to leadership, management, and continual improvement. He is excited to participate in the implementation of the Deming Philosophy in an online setting.
