2016 Four Day Education Seminar

2016 Four Day Education Seminar
Facilitator
David P. Langford
July 19 – 22, 2016
Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport
Seatac, Washington
“It should be a system of education in which pupils from toddlers on up through the university take joy in learning, free from fear of grades and gold stars, and in which teachers take joy in their work, free from fear in ranking. It should be a system that recognizes differences between pupils and differences between teachers.”

Educators are faced with many challenges today – gaps in achievement, behavior issues, growing class sizes, and new standards and testing requirements, to name a few. But when we create joy in learning for students, achievement gets better. Students become self-motivated and curious, their behavior improves, and test scores and graduation rates climb – along with student and teacher satisfaction.

The Deming in Education Seminar is a four-day, interactive learning event and hands-on approach to the Deming Method. It delves deep into the Quality Learning Principles and Tools that are necessary to gain the vision, purpose and capacity for quality implementation and to overcome the challenges and behavior problems you may face in your classrooms.

This is not another new program; it is a philosophy, a way of making decisions that returns the power of thinking, creativity and performance back to the students and teachers responsible for the results. It is possible to see the Joy of Learning return to everyone in the education system, including parents.

Students will exit our system with the same passion for learning they had when they entered our system, having achieved high academics and strong character, without economics determining their success.” – Bret Champion, Superintendent (Leander ISD, Texas)

“The opportunity to work with our entire team was invaluable. We traveled as far in four days as we would in a year back at our site, where we can only come together every two weeks for an hour or so. We all agree that it was positive, team building/bonding, constructive and progressive for us as a team.”
– Kerry Hugo, Hackham West Junior Primary School, South Australia

Text Book Case Of Applying Deming To K-12 Education

Starting in 1991 the Leander Independent School District went from 5 school campuses with 5,000 students to over 37,000 students today because families have heard about the quality of education and success rates students are achieving and want their sons and daughters to to go there. This is a real example of how empowering the children, making them partly responsible for their education, has improved test scores, teacher evaluations, behavioral problems, graduation rates and teacher turnover. The district has become so successful for both teachers and students that is has become know as “Happyville”. It all began here, come see how you can bring these huge improvements to your districts or schools. Don’t just take it from us: Read The Story:
