Why attend

Most leaders know something needs to change. This seminar gives you a proven way to change it.

Eroding market share, rising costs, losing talent, and constant firefighting usually trace back to the system, not the people in it. Over two hands-on days, you'll learn how to see that system and start improving it.

Your challenge

Work on a real problem

Bring a challenge from your organization and look at it through a new lens, with support from Deming experts. Use the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle to identify practical next steps.

Systems

See your organization as a system

Learn to tell whether a problem comes from the system or from individuals, so you stop blaming people for broken processes.

Variation

Make better decisions with data

Understand variation in your system so you react to real signals, not noise.

Format

Learn by doing

Interactive exercises, table discussions with peers who face the same problems, and rotating expert facilitators.

The Deming Institute facilitated one of the best professional development days I've ever attended in my career. As a result, every one of our school leaders is actively engaged in improvement work using the PDSA cycle.
Ben Ferney, Superintendent, Cheney School District
